I consider it good sportsmanship/gamesmanship to drop a GF whether it was actually a good one or not. Just out of respect.
Though mostly the people *I* end up killing don't want anything to do with that. After all I'm just s****and a RL degenerate anyways, right?

Why on earth do so many of you think it's a good idea to say GF, when it wasn't one?
Out of respect?? Why should you show respect? What did they do to earn it? Just popping someone is worthy of respect now? Seems like pretty low standards?
To me, a GF is an evenly pitched battle that could have gone either way. That's the *only* GF there is, imo. I'm not saying it's wrong to have one sided fights, that's what Eve is about after all, I'm just saying they're *not* good fights.
What did they do to earn my respect? They tried. Even if they walked into a huge trap, that's a whole lot better than the people who get popped one time during their two week trial and then quit to return to WoW. That's not too bad, now is it?

You guys ever played a sport?
The soccer team that stomps their opponents still shakes hands and says "Good Game!" even if it was 26-0.
Gamemanship can work pretty much the same way, but I guess that's player style. Just know that THIS is where I'm coming from when I offer a "Good fight!" 
Edit: And yes, my high school team was on the recieving end of such a loss, but they we're good sports and didn't gloat either
